Norfolk State University alumnus Keedar Whittle is making a name for himself on television by playing the anti-fantasy date in the Black Entertainment Television reality show "Hell Date."
Cast in a recurring role on the show, Keedar starts out being the perfect date of unsuspecting contestants, until he becomes someone they never want to encounter again.
The show airs on BET at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
A 2001 NSU graduate, Whittle started his acting career in the Square Theater on Broadway in New York. He later appeared on "Saturday Night Live" and began doing stand-up comedy. Since moving to Los Angeles, he has acted in a movie coming out in the fall called "The Comebacks" and written a sketch for Nick Cannon's MTV series "Short Circuitz."
Last month he began shooting "The Untold Adventures of Lewis and Clarke" for Fox Broadcasting's new online division.
While at NSU, Whittle was active in the college's University Players group and Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity.
