The rule is: if you're not a member, you don't wear it!  But apparently British soul singer Amy Winehouse and some unidentified men didn't get the memo concerning Black Greek-lettered organizations and their paraphernalia.

Over the past week, the Internet has been flooded with pictures of people sporting Black Greek paraphernalia who are not members of the "The Divine Nine." There are nine historically Black Greek-etter organizations, these organizations are referred to as "The Divine Nine."

Winehouse, pictured left and who is not on the books as a member of any Black sorority, is seen wearing a t-shirt featuring the four historically Black sororities. Are you cool with her wearing the t-shirt or is she dead wrong?

And what about the Roc-A-Fella family? How did they end up using the same symbol as the Deltas? We all know that Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., has been throwing up the pyramid for years. Now hip-hop artists are using it. Who does it belong to? Can anyone use it? Can it have different meanings?

And if that wasn't enough, pictures of an unidentified man sporting Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., paraphelnia while forming a pyramid with his hands is also seen.

This is not the first time we've seen something like this.  Earlier this year, BET.com showed you a group of gay men from Texas Southern University in Houston who formed their own unofficial chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha.  The group, which was not sanctioned by the national office, caused quite a negative reaction on college campuses, within the GLBT community, and  even more famously on our BET.com message boards.

Many Black Greek chat rooms have been discussing the recent pictures that have surfaced, and they are saying that members of the "Divine Nine" should watch how they get rid of their old ‘nalia.

Since the founding of Black college fraternities and sororities in the early 1900s, these groups have played a major role in the cultural, social and civic life of their communities.   And when any non-member is bold enough to outright rip off the legacy of the organization in pictures like these, Black Greeks say these thieves are out of line.
