The time draws near for etiquette workshops, self-esteem reinforcement, scholarships, white gloves, and a grand debut.
The Upsilon Alpha Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated in conjunction with The Gwinnett Pearls of Service Foundation are looking for some very special young ladies to participate in the 2008 Fifth Bi-Annual Debutante Cotillion and Scholarship Ball.
High school-aged females (juniors and seniors) are invited to attend an Informational Meeting on Saturday, September 8, 11:30 am until 1:00 pm at the Collins Hill Library located at 455 Camp Perrin Road in Lawrenceville, Georgia.
"We are certainly looking forward to meeting with interested young ladies," said Geri B. Gonzalez, President, Upsilon Alpha Omega Chapter. "Our Debutante Cotillion and Scholarship Ball is not just focused on tiara clad young ladies dressed in white. Our program is designed to cultivate participants with workshops, social outings, and community service activities during their season of transition."
Gonzalez continued, "These young ladies are transitioning into adulthood, and we are excited to provide the positive reinforcement they need to make their transition a little easier."
