Black youth, ranging in age from kindergarten to high school seniors, were told Saturday to "start right and you'll finish strong."

Addressing the annual 1,000-Man March in the First Baptist Church, the Rev. Gene Lawson keynoted the two-hour program by counseling youth not to look back on yesterday, but keep their focus toward the future. "That's why rear view mirrors are small and windshields are large," said Lawson, pastor of Real Faith Christian Church.
