As a college student, N. Patrick Range wasn't sure he wanted to go into the family mortuary business. The moment of truth came when he was a 20-year-old senior and his father, Oscar L. Range, died and his mother, Athalie Range, had words of advice for him.
'When I came home from college for Daddy's funeral, Mother said, `You are the man of the family now.' And that sealed it. I have never regretted the choice I made, and I truly feel it is what my life's work was to be.''
Some 46 years later, Range has not merely carried on the family business. In the process, he won admirers among his colleagues across the state.
Despite his busy work, Range finds the time to serve the community through his membership in the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity, the Collegians, The King of Clubs and the Miami Model Cities Housing Trust. more >>
