The Clarksville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta presents the evening as a gift to the city. Cassandra Osborne, the sorority's chairwoman for the arts and letters, says too many local talents go unrecognized. In addition to stage-accustomed dancers and singers, the Soiree will put authors, who normally complete their work in solitude, in front of an appreciative audience. more >>

It's kind of like a talent show for adults. Tonight's free "Soiree — An evening of entertainment" gives seldom-seen talents the opportunity to shine. At least a dozen local authors, artists, dancers and singers will perform beginning 7 tonight at Cumberland Electric Membership Corp. Auditorium.
