Howard Dodson, chief of the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture at the New York Public Library, will speak at 2 p.m. Jan. 15 at the Akron-Summit County Public Library's Main Auditorium, 60 S. High St.
The Martin Luther King Jr. Lecture is co-sponsored by the library and the Eta Tau Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Inc.
The Schomburg Center is a national research library that collects, preserves and provides access to resources about the history of the African diaspora, especially blacks in the Western Hemisphere.
