Ernie Arku and Kennen Hutchison, 12, didn’t know each other a year ago. Today, thanks to a partnership between Big Brothers and Big Sisters and the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity of the Quad-Cities, they get together a lot to fish, make wood projects and have fun.
“It’s a great experience to spend a day with a kid,” fraternity president Arku said. “Through the Mu Chi Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, several ‘Bigs’ and ‘Littles’ have been matched, but more are needed.” more >>
