Dorian Smith’s personality stands out with his diverse interests.

Add in that he’s an Oregon State football player, and it really sticks out.

There is not enough time in the day for the senior defensive end to keep up with all aspects of his life, but trying is fun.

Fans see the speedy 6-foot-3, 260-pounder from Van Nuys, Calif., as one of the top ends in the country. He’s ranked the No. 23 end available in the 2008 NFL draft by NFL Draft Countdown.

Smith has 20 tackles and three quarterback sacks this season. Last year he had 11½ tackles for loss and nine sacks in his first season with OSU.

Music and chatter filled the Campus Union Ballroom on the evening of September 20th as students packed in for the Sigma Gamma Rho/Kappa Alpha Psi Freshmen Mixer 2007. This mixer introduced the organizations to new students on campuis, which was mainly freshmen.   more »

View Article  Michael Davis elected as the Junior Grand Vice Polemarch for Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc.

This past summer, Michael Davis was elected as the Junior Grand Vice Polemarch for Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. at the 78 Grand Chapter meeting. As Junior Grand Vice Polemarch, Davis will oversee all the undergraduates in the nation.

In the Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity, the Grand Polemarch is the equivalent of a Grand National President who administers all chapters in the nation and abroad, including countries like Africa, Europe and Asia. Anything on the national agenda, Davis must execute at the undergraduate level. Davis was initiated for the job in the spring of 2006 when he participated in the Kappa Alpha Psi undergraduate leadership program over the summer.

“The Undergraduate Leadership Institute is a week long of leadership development for the best of the best in Kappa Alpha Psi,” said Davis.    more »
